Belts are the most on and off kind of accessories, which make striking entry into the fashion world but are short-lived. Therefore to make most of the current belts craze (before it vanishes), the celebrities and fashion followers have adorned their outfits with different belt styles, only to stay tuned with new additions.

Let’s have a look at various fashion trends for belts 2013 that beyond any doubt makes passage into your wardrobe.

1)      Wide belts:
Flying over from couture garments to the elite creations, wide strapped belts have become indispensable accessories to celebrities and socialites, to flaunt off their fashion sense.
The wide belts would be apt for stardom parties or awards and best located at waist.

2)      Corset belts:
Corset belts are meant to accentuate your feminine looks and show off the curvy edge of your side. Corset belts are available to meet different style needs ranging from buckled leather corsets to laced bow corsets.

Voguish black.


Voguish black:

What’s the first color that comes to your mind, when you have to pick up the wardrobe for cocktail parties, a casual luncheon or gala get-together? With no second thought, black leads the color palette and one among tint love of most of the ladies. Keeping the latest trend worries apart, black allows a narrow escape from fashion critics, and let you experiment with your frame of style.

Outfits in black, pave way for being adventurous with accessories and go beyond the fashion norms. So next time when you pick up a black dress, make sure you keep it simple enough to compensate it with trendy accessories, and mind you sky is the limit!

Few socialites were spotted around the corner, caught black handed!
1)      Sravani Sreekakulam:
An entrepreneur by profession, she does not distance herself from fashion and makes sure her closet is upgraded with chic and stylish trends.

Outfit – Black laced dress.
Accessories used – The New York pink pendant scarf, well coordinated with simple studded ear-rings and a silver touch watch.

2)      Sweeta sachdeva: ( right in the picture)
A socialite to name, her deep love for fashion keeps her in line with latest trends, only to create a fashion statement of her own.

Outfit – draped black dress.
Accessories used: silver strings at neckline and the sensuous white pumps that added glam factor to the black outfit.

3)      Maulika terala:
An aspiring photographer, she is well aware of the angles that could make her look elegant and astonishing. She absolutely justified the two piece black dress and got rightly captured too!

Outfit – straight fit formal black dress.
Accessories used – The lime light of the outfit is taken away by the leather boots ruffled at ankles, adding feminine touch to the black dress.


4)      Sravanthi veloor :
With Classical dance taken up as a hobby, she finely blends herself into the latest happenings from fashion and makes right combination of moves with accessories.

Outfit – knee length sleeveless black top, enhanced with white shrug.
Accessories used – Nude color wide leather belt that gives trendy touch to the outfit.

shoe trends 2013


Shoe trends spring 2013:
As promised, I am back with latest fashion updates and this time it’s about the crazy shoe trends, picked up straight from London and Milan runways. Shoe trends for spring 2013 witnessed transparent and embroidered high heeled shoes, dominating the runway cat walks.

Neon colors, metallic shades and floral prints were other welcoming designs for the footwear collection 2013. And, for those who do not have sky scrapper shoes as their cup of tea, kitten heels and bellies are great sigh of relief.

1)      Sandal boots:
Inspired by the architectural designs, the so called gladiator shoes look chic with leather skirts, hot pants and cropped tops. These breezy boots are apt for the spring, allowing enough air passage to your skin. They come in various length proportions varying from above the ankle to up to knee length.




2)      Kitten heels:
Mid heels are all in with latest Valentino’s collection of wide range of kitten heels to add sparkle to any kind of your outfit. Be it a cocktail night or a romantic date, kitten heels available with leopard prints, multi colored floral patterns, studded and lace patterns are all outrageous.

Best of Lakme India Fashion Week 2013.


Top 5 designers of Lakme India fashion week 2013:

Lakme India fashion week is considered to be the most prestigious fashion show in India, held in the capital city of fashion, Mumbai.  The Lakme India fashion show 2013, witnessed many blooming designers of India who showed glimpse of their contemporary costumes, down the runway. The mastered arts of the top-notch designers like Manish Malhotra, Shantanu and Nikhil were certainly incredible.

Though there were amazing creations displayed by all the designers during the 5 days show, quite a few top the list,for their just so wow! Factor.

1)      Mansih Malhotra:
Dedicated to the eminent beauties from Bollywood and the century making of Indian cinema, the designs were purely inspired from different eras in Indian cinema. It started off with grey and neutral flare skirts collections of 50’s and ended up with netted sari and see through blouse of the 21st century. The tight fitted dress, bell sleeves, traditional embroidery and semi flared saris were very much part of his collection. The color palette which comprised from hues to pastels were flawlessly incorporated in his creations.










      


         2) Nikhil Thampi:
Inspired by ideologies of American top sculptor, Nikhil Thampi creations with fish motifs could be seen in long flared tops, mini skirts,jackets, trousers and elegant gowns with minimal patterns and cut-outs and unique combination of yellow, black and white.  The colors are well compensated in the prints, cut works and fabrics like crepe and net to create a soothing collection for summer 2013. Bollywood attractions to the show included Shahid kapoor, Mughda Godse and Genelia.




3)      Anushree Reddy:
Topping the talent box at Lakme India fashion week 2013, with palette of pink dominating the floral prints, Anushree Reddy’s Indian ethnic collection was much more than the usual bridal display. The appealing necklines, the accentuated waist lines and the stylish flares with net and chiffons were the most lustrous collection to die for!  The collection was the most wearable targeting fashion needs of the modern women.



4)   Naeem khan:
An indian based designer in America, Naeem khan has clients profile ranging from Bollywood star Katrina kaif to Designing for first lady of America. He makes his debut to the show with his western style collection customized for Indian women which includes the unique “ball gown sari”. His color palette includes sparkling colors like tomato red, navy blue and emerald green.  Embroidery and surface ornamentation were his style statements which were well balanced with smart cutouts and pattern works.



  5)  Namrata Joshipura:
The grand finale of Lakme India fashion week concluded with ultra sophisticated collection by virtuoso designer Namrata joshipura. Inspired by the POP Tint Lip shades of Lakme absolute, Neon pink, bold red, yellow and high spirit orange, were part of her creations. The fluid fabrics, the shimmered silhouettes, the body hugging outfits were her spectacular clothing styles that were beyond comparison. Kareena kapoor in popping pink Pant suit put a royal end to the most anticipated fashion week.
